The Foundation favors support of programs rather
than facilities, buildings, or individuals. The Foundation does
not consider grants outside the U.S., nor does it fund on a continuing
basis or generally make multi-year grants.
Involvement by Foundation directors normally includes site visits, as
well as follow-up evaluations that the Foundation hopes can lead to relationships
and support of additional programs.
The Foundation encourages such creative funding efforts as challenge and
contingency grants.
Organizations are eligible for grants if:
- Their programs support the arts, arts education, or other cultural
activity,
and
- They have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal
Revenue Code and are not a private foundation under section 509(a) of
the Code.
